Real Hasta la Muerte

by: Anuel AA

Anuel AA may have spent 30 months incarcerated in a Miami prison, but he remained an active recording artist. Hours before he was released on July 17, he shocked the industry by dropping the full-length Real Hasta La Muerte to streaming and digital download services. It was entirely recorded while he was inside and during a brief respite in a Miami halfway house. Primarily produced by longtime collaborators Chris Jeday and Gaby Music, it features contributions on four of its 12 tracks from trap heavy weights Ozuna ("Brindemos"), Wisin "Pensando en Ti"), Zion (Hipocrita), and Ñengo Flow ("Yeezy"). As a whole, Real Hasta La Muerte reveals the emcee branching out to showcase a more radio-friendly, pop-reggaeton ("Modo de Avion," "Espina"), though the explicit lyric content and tough beats that established him as one of Latin trap's giants are also ever present.
