Mr. Rockin' Rollin'

by: Bill Haley

Thirty-two-song double-LP surveying Haley's '50s recordings for Decca, with a 1964 single thrown in at the end. Has most of the monster hits, but a few of the bigger ones -- "Dim, Dim the Lights" and "Birth of the Boogie," for example -- are disappointingly absent, in favor of some less appealing late-'50s sides. ~ Richie Unterberger
