The Yodelling Cowboy Years

by: Frank Ifield

English born Frank Ifield was a superstar in the U.K. and Australia with an unusual vocal style which mixed traditional country yodeling with slick pop styling. The 31 tracks on Yodelling Cowboy Years were recorded prior to his well-known pop hits of the '60s like "I Remember You," and focus on such classic cowboy songs as "Jingle Jangle Jingle," "High Noon (Do Not Forsake Me)," and "Yellow Roses." While this isn't the most comprehensive title in Ifield's catalog, those who specifically appreciate this period of his career should track it down. ~ Al Campbell
