Jack Frost [Original Soundtrack]

What do you get when you cross three Hanson tunes (live versions of "Gimme Some Lovin'" and "Good Lovin'" that are more Blues Brothers than rhythm & blues from these brothers, and a listless walk-through of "Merry Christmas Baby"), two really bad bar band blues workouts by actor Michael Keaton with the Jack Frost Band (including a crusty "Frosty the Snowman" and a forgettable ditty called "Have a Little Faith"), another sappy-crappy Bob Carlisle ode to his daughter ("Father's Love"), the Spice Girls making like the Ronettes and going somewhere horribly wrong along the way ("Sleigh Ride") and a decent Lucinda Williams tune ("Can't Let Go") that really doesn't belong? You get Jack Frost, a pretty lame soundtrack (featuring songs, except for the Keaton twosome, that can be found elsewhere) to an even lamer movie. ~ Michael Gallucci
