Better Is One Day

by: Passion

Worship Together's ministry team, Passion, puts together albums which display a fine nose for material, real depth in worship, and proficient and inspired musicianship. Some gospel albums result in a sense of awe regarding the performers; Passion wants to leave us with a sense of awe regarding God -- good for them. Here, Charlie Hall leads a congregation through largely familiar pop-based worship songs. The band sounds more supple than on 1998's Live Worship from the 268 Generation; percussion-based arrangements of "Knowing You" and the terrific "Better Is One Day" make for outstanding tracks. The worship team's target audience is a young one; as the ministry continues to mature and deepen, one expects the resulting music releases to grow even richer. ~ David Dwyer
