Didn't I Blow Your Mind

by: The Delfonics

The purest Delfonics album to date. Remakes slightly marred two previous efforts, but originals rule here with Barry Mann's "When You Get Right Down to It" the sole outside song. Three blue-plate specials provide some sweet listening: the million-selling "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time," "Trying to Make a Fool of Me," and Mann's masterpiece. "Funny Feeling" is not typical Delfonics and flopped as a single; unsung aces are William Hart's dreamy "I Gave to You," a five-minute plus exercise in hurt, and "Delfonics Theme." ~ Andrew Hamilton
