The Best of '70s Rock Chart Toppers

It's hard to see all the songs on Best of '70s Rock Chart Toppers topping the charts -- after all, Hall & Oates and 10CC are more pop than rock -- but the disc is nevertheless an entertaining budget-line collection. Most of the nine tracks are either straightahead pop-rock or album-rock, but the album gels into a cohesive listen simply because there are a number of good songs, including "Hot Blooded," "The Things We Do for Love," "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)," "Don't Bring Me Down," "Rich Girl," "Radar Love" and "It's a Heartache." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
