Director Frank Tashlin stocked this big-budget 1956 Technicolor classic with crazy sight gags, a funny script, and a fine cast -- and there's plenty of indispensable first-generation rock by Little Richard, Fats Domino, the Platters, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps, Eddie Fontaine, Johnny Olenn, and then-unknown Nino Tempo (with a wild sax workout) played for laughs. ~ Bill Dahl
