Abhilipsa Panda

Born on November 30, 2001, in Barbil, Keonjihar, Orissa, India, Abhilipsa Panda is an Indian pop singer best known for her 2022 viral hit “Har Har Shambhu Shiv Mahadeva.” She became interested in music as a child – her grandfather was a harmonium player and her father was fond of singing around the house – she began studying Odissi dancing and vocal training at school when she was four years old. When she was 14, she began studying Hindustani classical vocal at the Draupadi Devi Cultural Institute. During her training there, she was asked to sing on a children’s song, which was her introduction to the recording industry. Her singing caught the attention of many industry insiders, which led to her performing on the televised talent show Orissa Super Singer. Singer and songwriter Jeetu Sharma was impressed by her voice and approached her about singing on his new song “Har Har Shambhu Shiv Mahadeva.” After the song was recorded, it was posted on several social media platforms. In the first month, it had earned over a million streams and views but had not yet gone viral. Shortly thereafter, social media influencers began to use snippets of the song in their short form videos and the song – sometimes referred to “Har Har Shambhu” and “The Har Har Shambhu Song”- became a viral sensation, making Abhilipsa Panda one of the most popular singers in India. She has released several other singles including “Hum Teri Mohabbat Mein,” “Dekhne Waalon Ne,” “Mera Chota Sa Sansar,” and “Chori Chor Dil Tera,” but “Har Har Shambhu Shiv Mahadeva” remains her most successful release yet.
