Alex Christensen

Alex Christensen (born April 7, 1967 in Hamburg), also known as Jasper Forks or Alex C., is a DJ, music producer and composer from Germany. The young Alex Christensen first made a name for himself as a producer and DJ. His early successes from this period include the single "Ritmo De La Noche" (1990, as writer and producer for the group Chocolate) and "Das Boot", the first single from his own music project U 96, which landed Alex Christensen a number 1 hit in Germany. The producer went on to enjoy further success as a writer and producer with other artists such as Rollergirl, Marky Mark, ATC, Bro'Sis, Sarah Brightman, Right Said Fred, Yvonne Catterfeld, DJ Ötzi, Helene Fischer and Coldplay. In the early 2000s, Alex Christensen dedicated himself to his own career as a musician and composer. in 2008, he celebrated a number 1 hit in Germany as Alex C. together with Y-ass and the single "Du hast den schönsten Arsch der Welt". The accompanying album Euphorie reaches number 20 in the German charts in the same year. In 2009, he represented Germany together with Oscar Loya as the duo Alex Swings Oscar Sings! and the song "Miss Kiss Kiss Bang" at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. After Alex Christensen produced Helene Fischer's Christmas album together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at London's Abbey Road Studios in 2015, the artist discovered his love for orchestral compositions. In 2017, Alex Christensen released the album Classical 90s Dance, recorded with The Berlin Orchestra. Two more albums from this series are released, Classical 90s Dance 2 (2018) and Classical 90s Dance 3 (2019). In 2021, Alex Christensen is also applying the idea of putting dance classics from the 1990s in an orchestral setting to hits from the 1980s. The album Classical 80s Dance joins Alex Christensen's successful series. In 2023, Alex Christensen successfully continues the series with Classical 90s Dance - The Icons and number 6 in Germany.
