Ana Diaz

Ana Gabriela Esmeralda Díaz Molina (born on June 7, 1977) is a Swedish-born singer-songwriter of Finnish and Venezuelan descent, mostly known for her work as a ghostwriter for major pop luminaries such as Britney Spears, Jennifer López, and Wyclef Jean. Born and raised in Västerås in central Sweden, Díaz developed an interest in music from a very early age and pursued a career in music production in the early aughts. Plagued by anxiety and depression, she decided to start studying to become a dentist - an endeavor she relinquished right after Sony/ATV Music Publishing hired her as a songwriter. From then on, Díaz went on to become a reputed international hitmaker and award-winning composer for both films and commercials. After many years of writing material for other artists, she moved from London to Stockholm and launched her solo career with the single “Fyll upp mitt glas nu” in 2015 and “Starkare” in 2016. That same year, Díaz released her debut double EP, Lyssna del 1 & 2, which peaked at Number 47 on the Sverigetopplistan and earned her nominations for the P3 Awards and the Swedish Grammis in the category of Newcomer of the Year. The singer spent the next couple of years touring around her home country and collaborating with Swedish artists like Oskar Sikow, Oskar Linnros, and Petter before jumping back into the spotlight with Tröst och vatten (2020), her proper studio debut. Preceded by the single “100,” the album outperformed its predecessor by reaching Number 20 on the Swedish Album Charts and was followed by Vår lilla stad, a cover of Swedish rock band Eldkvarn recorded for the reality music TV show Så mycket bättre.
