Andy Yang

One of the most beloved celebrities of her generations, actress and singer Andy Yang was born Yang Ni Ao on November 6, 1992 in Beijing, China. She began her professional acting career while she was still a child, appearing in a handful of television projects before landing her first film role in 2003’s Girls Diary. Two years later she would land her signature part as Xia Xue on the comedy series Home with Kids, a show that topped the ratings in her home country and gave her such popularity that in 2008 she issued her debut album, Home with Snow. She worked regularly on television and film for the next few years, acquiring numerous acting awards along the way. She enjoyed one of her biggest successes with the war series Battle of Changsha in 2014 and performed the song “I Will Remember You” on the project’s soundtrack. She returned to the top of the television ratings with the 2016 series Ode to Joy and could be heard on that show’s soundtrack as well. She had yet another small-screen success with 2019’s Go Go Squid!, a romantic comedy whose end theme song, “Milk Bread”, gave her a hit single in 2020.
