Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

After struggling for two years to find backing for their venture, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony finally got their break in 1993 when they got the chance to audition for rapper Eazy-E and his label Ruthless Records. Eazy-E liked what he heard and signed them to his label, and they released their debut EP 'Creepin On Ah Come Up' shortly after. The EP contained their first hit single 'Thuggish Ruggish Bone' which catapulted them to fame. In '95 they released the album 'E. 1999 Eternal' which featured the tribute to the late Eazy-E, 'Tha Crossroads', which won the group a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance By a Duo Or Group. 'The Art of War' followed with the singles 'Look Into My Eyes' featuring in the 1997 film 'Batman & Robin' and 'If I Could Teach the World' breaking into the top 30 of the Hot 100. In 2000 they released 'BTNHResurrection', their fourth album which went platinum within one month. After some very public disputes between Bizzy Bone and Ruthless Records, the rapper sued the record company claiming they owed him money. With this and Flesh-n-Bone's conviction for possessing a firearm, three members of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Krayzie, Bizzy and Layzie, decided the time was right to explore solo ventures. It was not the end of the group however, and they came back in 2002 with the release of 'Thug World Order'. The following year saw Bizzy Bone leave, leaving just three members to carry on the group. The trio released 'Thug Stories' in 2006; the album did well in the Independent Charts. The latter half of the 2000s saw the albums 'Strength & Loyalty' and 'T.H.U.G.S.' and the release of Flesh-n-Bone after serving almost a decade in prison. To mark the occasion, Bizzy Bone also returned and the full line-up was reunited. 'Uni5: The World's Enemy' was released in 2010 under their own label BTNH Worldwide. 'The Art of War: World War III' followed in 2013 with the news that one final Bone Thugs album would be released soon. In 2015, one single copy of their final album 'E. 1999 Legends' was auctioned off, making a reported $1 million.
