Brockhampton

Founded on the Internet forum KanyeToTh', Brockhampton is an American rap collective who prefer to be known as a boy band. Formed in San Marcos, Texas in 2015, they won the VFILES Loud! talent search in that year and went on to self-release their first mixtape 'All American Trash' in 2016. Known to be a diverse band, with members from a range of ethnic groups and sexual orientations, they hit the mainstream in 2017 with the release of three albums in quick succession. These were critically acclaimed and each reached a higher chart position than the former. The first was called 'Saturation', then 'Saturation II' which charted just outside the top 50 in the Billboard Albums Chart and then 'Saturation III' was released before the end of the year, reaching number 15 in the Billboard Albums Chart and number five in the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. Single 'Bleach' from 'Saturation III' has had nearly 80 million streams online. In 2018 they signed with record label RCA Records and had their first number one album in the Billboard 200 Chart with 'Iridescence'. In 2019 they released the album 'Ginger' which contained singles 'Boy Bye', 'No Halo' and 'Sugar' which have all had more than ten million streams online. Other popular singles from this album were 'If You Pray Right', 'I Been Born Again' and the album's title track 'Ginger', all of which were released in 2019.
