Bunga Citra Lestari

Bunga Citra Lestari is an Indonesian actress and pop singer who was born in Jakarta in 1983. She became famous performing a variety of television roles until deciding to start a pop career in 2004 when she performed on a collaboration with a group called PAS Band. Although she appeared as a solo artist on a soundtrack album for the film 'Dealova' in 2005 her solo career truly began when she released the album 'Cinta Pertama' in 2006. The album sold 75,000 units during its first week and spawned four hit singles, one being the album's title track which reached number one and the others being 'Aku Tak Mau', 'Ingkar' and 'Mengapa Harus Terjadi', all of which made the top three in the Indonesian charts. Following the success of the album a film of the same title was released which gave the artist her first starring role. More number ones followed between 2007 and 2010 and Lestari became firmly established as one of Indonesia's top female artists although in recent years her acting career has taken priority over music.
