Cakes da Killa

American rap artist Rashard Bradshaw, also known as Cakes da Killa, hails from Teaneck, New Jersey, USA. Bradshaw began rapping during his high school years, writing lyrics to beats he found online and sharing them on the internet, gaining attention when his homemade demos caught the ear of DJ and producer Stixx, leading him to collaborate on the mixtape Downtown Mayhem Vol. 1, alongside Rip The Ruler. Combining elements of hip-hop, house, and electronic dance music, he released his debut mixtape, Easy Bake Oven, Vol. 1, under Stixx's Downtown Mayhem label before finding recognition in the LGBTQ+ hip-hop scene, joining the ranks of Le1f, Mykki Blanco, and House of Ladosha. His second mixtape, The Eulogy, received positive reviews after being released for free on Mishka NYC's website and in September 2013, he released an EP featuring title single "I Run This Club," which sampled M.I.A.'s song of the same name. Following this with a nine-track mixtape titled Hunger Pangs (2014) and five-track EP titled #IMF (In My Feelings), (2015), his highly anticipated debut album, Hedonism, came out in October 2016 on the Ruffians label, seeing the artist gain further exposure after performing in front of judges Cardi B, Jadakiss, and Fat Joe on 2019 Netflix show Rhythm + Flow. After this appearance, Cakes da Killa released several singles in 2020, including "DON DADA" from his EP MUVALAND, followed by second album, Killa Essentials, appearing on October 31, 2021, and Svengali in 2022, promoting singles "Bring it Back" and "Sex Drive" across Europe and Australia on his 2023 #SEXDRIVE TOUR.
