Capo

German rapper Capo was born Cem Anhan in 1991 in Offenbach am Main. He is the younger brother of Aykut Anhan, better known as the successful rap artist Haftbehefel who became infamous after he fled Germany to escape impending imprisonment. Capo had a difficult childhood after his father committed suicide when he was just nine years old. By the time he was 21 his elder brother had already established his musical career and was able to give his younger sibling his first break by having him appear as a guest on the 2012 Haftbehefel album 'Kanackis'. The following year Capo released his first solo single 'Hater/Erzähl' Ma' which launched his reputation as an up-and-coming hip-hop talent. In 2013 his debut studio album entered the German charts at number 21. His single releases initially enjoyed only sporadic success but by 2018 his fortunes changed and he had three hit singles. Some of his most successful tracks such as 'Dunkel', 'Zoey' and 'Leyla' have been collaborations with fellow rapper Nimo with whom he has a close association.
