Cherish

Cherish is an American R&B group consisting of Fallon, Felisha, Farrah, and Neosha King. Born into a musical household in Maywood, Illinois, all four sisters began performing at a very young age and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, in the early aughts to pursue a career in music. After landing a deal with the Warner Bros. imprint Reprise Records, the group first found success through a feature on Da Brat's 2003 single "In Love with Chu," which cracked the Top 10 of Billboard's Rhythmic Top 40 chart. Produced by Jermaine Dupri, their debut single "Miss P." arrived later that year but did not meet the label's expectations, causing their first album The Moment to be shelved. Following an appearance on the soundtrack of the animated film The Powerpuff Girls: Power Pop, the four-piece began working on a new album with Jermaine Dupri, Don Vito, and Jazze Pha. Preceded by the Top 20 hit single "Do It Do It," their studio debut Unappreciated was finally released in August 2006 and went to Number 4 on both the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the US with little to no support from Capitol Records. In the subsequent years, Cherish toured the country as the opening act for Chris Brown's Up Close & Personal Tour and delivered a second LP titled The Truth in 2008. Despite containing the Top 40 hit single "Killa" with Yung Joc, The Truth did not perform as well as expected and soon Fallon and Felisha began focusing on their side project F+F, prompting Farrah and Neosha to abandon the group. In the following years, Cherish kept operating as a duo and released a couple of scattered singles such as "Like That" (2011) and "Going in Circles" (2013) before announcing they were working on a new studio effort titled The Breakthrough in 2017. Even though the LP was never officially released, Fallon and Felisha issued the promotional singles "One Time" (2017), "Self Destruction" (2017), and "Last Man on Earth" (2017). In 2021, the duo joined the R&B supergroup BluPrint alongside Shamari Devoe and Kiley Williams, a process documented on the reality show BET Presents: The Encore. Later that year, a remix of their song "Do It Do It" by DJ Acraze peaked at Number 9 on UK charts and charted in countries like Ireland and Greece.
