Chris Janson

Chris Janson was born April 2, 1986 in Perrysville, Missouri, but made his way to Nashville, Tennessee as a young man to try to make it in the country music industry. Getting his foot in the door as a songwriter, Janson was one of the four credited composers on Tim McGraw’s 2012 top 10 country tune “Truck Yeah”. After the release of of two EPs, Chris Janson (2013) and Take it to the Bank (2014), his recording career took off in 2015 with the release of his debut album Buy Me a Boat. The album was a country top 10, and the title track hit number 2 on the country chart in both the United States and Canada as well as climbing to number 41 on the U.S. pop chart. He performed regularly at the Grand Old Opry and quickly gained a reputation for high-energy live shows, an ability showcased at a memorable appearance at the 2017 ACM Honor ceremony. One month after that he released Everybody, another top 10 country album that spun off a pair of hit country singles, the top 10 “Fix a Drink” and the number 12 “Drunk Girl”. His 2019 album, Real Friends, went to number 12 on the country album chart, with the singles, “Good Vibes” and "Done" securing Number 1 positions, respectively. Janson's All In served as his fourth and final album under Warner, preceding the launch of his independent label, Harpeth 60 Records, in 2022, releasing The Outlaw Side of Me in June, 2023, seeing lead single "All I Need is You" climb to number 21 on the US Country Airplay Chart in September that year.
