Coco Jones

Coco Jones – born Courtney Jones on January 4, 1998, in Columbia, South Carolina – is singer and actress who first came to prominence in 2012 when she starred in the Disney Channel film Let It Shine. Raised in Lebanon, Tennessee, she began singing at a young age. Her first live performance was at the age of six when she performed during her kindergarten graduation. She competed on Radio Disney in 2006 and gained attention with her song “Real You.” After successfully auditioning for Disney, she guest starred on the Disney Channel’s So Random series, appeared on daytime TV, participated on Radio Disney’s The Next Big Thing competition, and released her 2010 self-titled debut EP. In 2011, she starred in the enormously successful Disney Channel film Let It Shine, which became the most watched original movie on the channel. Signing to Hollywood Records, she released the single “Holla at the DJ” (2012) followed by the Made Of EP, which reached Number 10 on the chart. However, after releasing a series of singles in 2013 and preparing for her debut album, Coco Jones was dropped by her label, Hollywood Records. She released her first independent single, “Peppermint,” in 2014 and followed that with singles such as “Let ‘em Know” (2015), “Ghost” (2015), and “Miss Me When I’m Gone” (2016). Coco Jones issued her third EP, Let Me Check It, in 2017, followed by the H.D.W.Y. EP in 2019. Signing to Def Jam Recordings, she issued her fifth EP, What I Didn’t Tell You (2022), which featured the singles “Caliber” and “ICU.”
