Joel Thomas Zimmerman, a Canadian DJ and producer better known as Deadmau5, was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on January 5, 1981. He gained major attention in 2008 with his electronic house music, becoming one of the top downloaded artists. After his first two albums gained him little traction, it was third album Random Album Title (2008), featuring Number 1 single “I Remember’ (with Kaskade) that attracted him a huge following, which the producer followed by For Lack of a Better Name in 2009 and 4x4=12 in 2010. These albums not only charted on Billboard but also earned silver record certifications in the UK. In 2012, his album Album Title Goes Here kept him in the spotlight as a leading producer, while staying behind his infamous mouse mask, revealing his ambitious double album While(1<2) in 2014 followed by W:/2016album/ and Where's the Drop in 2017 and 2018 respectively. In addition to his own projects, Deadmau5 often works with various artists, including The Neptunes, Kiesza and Lights, as well as Wolfgang Gartner and in 2023, he collaborated on single "The Veldt Cinema" with Benny Benassi and Gary Go, releasing the eight remix of hit single "I Remember” (the John Summit Remix), seeing the song return to the charts at number 23.
