Deetranada

Deetranada is a Baltimore-based MC with a fast, aggressive flow and confident, empowering lyrics. Born Diamond Barmer in 2001, her moniker is short for "Dee transformed from nada." She recognized her abundant talent and her ambition to be a rapper at the age of 11, and began posting freestyles to her YouTube channel when she was 13. After catching the attention of Jermaine Dupri, Deetranada was cast in the third season of the Lifetime reality series The Rap Game, which aired in 2017. She finished in second place in the competition, and the exposure greatly expanded her fan base. She guested on tracks by Mani and Tate Kobang and released a steady stream of tracks, as well as the 2017 mixtape Adolescence Swim. ~ Paul Simpson
