DMA's

Hailing from Sydney, Australia the three-piece rock band DMA's (stylised in all caps) has been making waves in the music scene since their formation in 2012. With Tommy O'Dell on vocals, Matt Mason on lead guitar, and Johnny Took's on acoustic guitar, the trio released their hit debut single "Delete" in 2014, followed by a self-titled EP. Their first full-length album Hills End hit the airwaves in February 2016, earning them a nomination for Best New Breakthrough Artist at the ARIA Awards, however it was their cover of Cher's hit song "Believe," which secured the sixth spot on Triple J's Hottest 100 2016 list and receiving over 10.3 million views online, that truly skyrocketed their popularity. In 2018, DMA's released their second album For Now, which peaked at number 7 on the charts, followed by The Glow, in 2020, peaking at number 2 on the Australian charts and number 4 on the UK charts. The band's largest headline show at Alexandra Palace in London drew over 10,000 fans and the album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2020 ARIA Awards. Continuing their success, DMA's also won three Australian Independent Record Award (AIR) Awards in 2021, including Independent Album of the Year and Best Independent Rock Album or EP as well as Best Independent Dance, Electronica or Club Single for "Criminals" (The Avalanches remix). Returning to their roots in 2021 with EP I Love You Unconditionally, Sure Am Going to Miss You, the band released their fourth studio album How Many Dreams? in March 2023 which peaked at number 2 on the ARIA charts and number 3 in the UK.
