Einár

Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg, better known as Einár, was a chart-topping Scandinavian rapper whose all-too-brief career included four platinum-certified singles and two Grammis Awards. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, on September 5, 2002, he launched his reputation as an MC by posting videos on social media. Einár then released his debut single, "Duckar Popo," in 2018, racking up over a million plays on streaming platforms. He scored his first Number 1 hit one year later with the single "Katten i Trakten," which reached the top of the Swedish charts and obtaining double-platinum certification shortly thereafter. The track was also included in his chart-topping debut album Första Klass, which Einár released later that year. Two additional singles from Första Klass — "Fusk" and "Rör Mig" — made their way into the Swedish Top 5, further solidifying Einár’s status as one of the fastest-rising stars in Swedish hip hop. A second full-length album, Nummer 1, was released in 2019 and climbed to the top of the charts in Sweden, boosted by the hit single "Nu Vi Skiner." Einár spent the rest of 2019 collaborating with artists like Sebastian Stakset ("Mamma Förlåt"), Dizzy ("Härifrån"), and Macky ("Tesla") before releasing two full-length albums back to back in 2020. Welcome to Sweden and Unge Med Extra Energi both peaked at Number 2 on the Sverigetopplistan chart, sending a total of four singles into the Swedish Top 10. The hits continued in 2021, with Einár scoring a Number 5 single with “Feelings," a Number 2 smash with "Sätter dom på plats," and Number 1 hit with the collaborative "Gamora," and an additional Number 1 single with "Dansa." Tragically, his life was cut short later that year by a shooting on October 21, 2021. He passed away that day at 19 years old.
