Georg Druschetzky

A student of the oboe with Besozzi Druschetzky was also a drummer and composer. It was not until 1795, in Pest that he finally established a foundational musical relationship in the house of Archduke Jospeh Anton Johann. Druschetzky's compositions were based in a geographically small area and his style is indicative of this. Compositions use the high classical forms but the pieces are rather short and underdeveloped. Genres included symphonies, wind ensembles, chamber works, stage works, and vocal pieces including masses, motets, and other sacred works. ~ Keith Johnson
