Gryffin

As a DJ, producer, and singer-songwriter, Gryffin has been turning heads with a combination of tropical house music, EDM, and future bass. Born Dan Griffith on September 29, 1987, in San Francisco, California, Gryffin took classical piano lessons from a very young age and later learned how to play the guitar. His musical pedigree is as diverse as his sound: early inspiration came from artists like Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, and Avicii, but his sound quickly evolved into something far more expansive. He began writing music while studying electrical engineering at the University of Southern California. In 2016, he made his official debut with the single "Heading Home," which fell just short of reaching the Top 20 of the dance music charts in the US. Even though his next single "Whole Heart" (2016) showcased his growth as a producer, it was the Zohara collaboration Remember (2018) that finally thrust him into the spotlight, earning him his first Number 1 hit single on the American dance music charts. Released in 2019, his studio debut Gravity quickly achieved pole position on the Dance/Electronic Albums and included the chart-topping hit "OMG" with Carly Rae Jepsen. Following a series of moderately successful non-album singles between 2020 and 2021, Gryffin began teasing the release of his sophomore effort in 2022 with the single "You Were Loved," which featured pop-rock band OneRepublic and climbed to Number 11 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
