Hoang Thuy Linh

V-pop singer and actress Hoang Thuy Linh was born in Hanoi on August 11, 1988. After pursuing a formal education in the dramatic arts, she starred in the popular soap operas Đường đời, Trò đùa của số phận, and Đi về phía mặt trời, quickly becoming one of the most beloved actors in her native Vietnam. During this time, she was also a part of the girl group Thien Than. Following a much-publicized scandal involving a sex tape in 2007, Hoang Thuy Linh shied away from the spotlight until 2010 when she released her studio debut Nhịp Đập Giấc Mơ. Despite receiving little promotion, the album enjoyed great popularity among local critics, who praised the singer's vocal prowess and dance-pop stylings. Much like its predecessor, 2011's Đừng Vội Vàng proved extremely successful in Vietnam, garnering positive reviews and establishing her as a true V-pop sensation. Released in 2019, third album Hoàng marked the first time Hoang Thuy Linh entered the local charts with singles like "Để Mị Nói Cho Mà Nghe" and "Kẻ Cắp Gặp Bà Già" featuring Binz. In 2022, her promotional single "See Tình" soared to the top of the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100.
