Industria Del Amor

Formed in 1985 in Oxnard, California, Industria del Amor became a quintessential name in the regional Mexican music scene. Its founding members were Roberto Verduzco, Álvaro Verduzco, Javier Solís, Salvador Vázquez, Felipe Ávalos, and Víctor Ortiz, all of whom hailed from the Mexican state of Michoacán. The group, celebrated for their romantic spin on the grupero genre, began their journey in earnest in the late 1980s. However, the 1990s saw them rising to unprecedented fame with the chart-topping ballad "A Capa y Espada" from their 1994 album of the same name. During this time, hits like "Dos Enamorados," "Rosas Rojas," "Siempre en Mi Mente," and "Dulcemente Enamorada" further solidified their legacy. While the late 1990s saw a subtle wane in their chart-topping singles, Industria del Amor continued their musical spree, with 2003's 30 Inolvidables compilation series and 2006's Para Ti... Nuestra Historia making their way into the US charts. Their dominance carried over into the 2010s through well-received albums such as Noche Buena (2011), 20 Éxitos con Mariachi (2012), and 20 Aniversario (2012). Over the following years, LPs such as Románticos por Siempre (2017), Grandes Duetos (2017), Cumbias Para Bailar (2019), Deja Vu (2021), and Favoritas con Amor, Vol. 2 (2023) cemented their status as one of the top grupero acts in both Mexico and the United States.
