Irama

Filippo Maria Fanti (born on December 20, 1990), is an Italian pop-rap singer who gained popularity after participating in the 66th edition of the Sanremo Song Festival in 2015 with the song “Cosa resterà”. The single reached Number 100 on the Italian Singles chart and built anticipation around Fanti’s studio debut, Irama (2016). The album was released via Warner Music Italy and debuted at Number 51 on FIMI’s chart, spawning the singles “Tornerai da me” and “Mi drogherò.” After winning the talent show Amici di Maria de Filippi in late 2017, he released Plume (2018), a collection of seven songs that topped the Italian Album charts upon its initial release. Eventually, the EP was certified double platinum for having sold more than 100,000 copies. That same year, Fanti teamed up with producers Giulio Nenna and Andrea Debernardi for Giovani (2018), an album spearheaded by the piano-driven ballad “Bella e rovinata,” which peaked at Number 21 on the Top Singles chart. Fanti’s popularity continued to grow, with the accompanying video for the 2019 hit single “Arrogante” accumulating more than 2 million views on his video-streaming channel. At the turn of the decade, the Italian rapper released “Milano”, an ode to his hometown featuring Francesco Sarcina (of Le Vibrazioni fame) on guest vocals. The chart-topping EP Crepe appeared in 2020, followed by his third studio effort Il giorno in cui ho smesso di pensare (2022), which snatched the top spot of the domestic charts thanks to the Sfera Ebbasta duo "Una Lacrima."
