Jamie Webster

Born on April 18, 1994 in Liverpool, UK folk 'n' roll balladeer Jamie Webster was working as an electrician when he decided to pick up a guitar and try his luck at performing cover songs in his local pubs. A diehard Liverpool F.C. fan, he soon became the unofficial voice of the city due to his fondness for performing gigs on match days and his devotion to Liverpool anthems like "We'll Never Walk Alone." A viral video of him playing a reworked version of 1980s Italo disco track "Allez Allez Allez" went viral in 2018 and led to a big break playing to 60,000 Liverpool fans in Madrid at an away match. Working with respected local producer Rich Turvey, and welcoming a full band into the fold, he began recording his own songs at Liverpool's famous Parr Street Studios. His first original single, 2019's "Weekend in Paradise" found him an even bigger audience, and another handful of singles followed in its wake, resulting in a debut album. Mixing indie-rock and folk with gritty social realism on tracks like "Living for Yesterday" and "Out on the Street," his first LP arrived in 2020. We Get By took Jamie Webster all the way to Number 6 in the UK as well as seeing him top the newly minted UK Official Folk Album Charts, beating Laura Marling, Kate Rusby, and the Levellers. He went even higher in the charts with his second album Moments, which was released in January 2022 and reached Number 3 in the UK. He dropped his third studio LP in February 2024, 10 for the People, released again on Modern Sky and landing him the prestigious Number 2 spot in the UK. Produced by Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Kylie Minogue), the LP is a series of modern-day postcards from working-class Britain infused with Jamie Webster's relatable charm.
