After converting to Christianity at the age of 16, he became a pastor and completed his spiritual guidance studies in the congregation of the Church of God in Van Nuys, California. Recorded with his wife Pecos Romero, his studio debut Renuevo Espiritual appeared in 1990 and was followed by the live album Unidos por la Cruz (1996), a commercially successful release that included the hits "Sumérgeme" and "Sentado en Su Trono." Over the next few years, Jesús Adrián Romero consolidated himself as one of the biggest Christian artists in Latin America with the albums Con Manos Vacías (2000), Te Daré Lo Mejor (2004), and Ayer Te Vi... Fue Más Claro Que la Luna (2010), which spawned the popular single "Tienen Tu Color" and received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Christian Album in Spanish. Following the great reception of subsequent releases such as the blues-flavored El Brillo de Mis Ojos (2010), Soplando Vida (2012), and Besos en la Frente (2016), Jesús Adrían Romero delivered his sixth studio effort Origen y Esencia in 2019.
