Josylvio

Josylvio is the stage name of Dutch rapper Joost Theo Sylvio Yussef Abdelgalil Dowib. He was born to an Egyptian father and Dutch mother on April 14, 1992, in Naarden, Netherlands. Ma3seb, his debut album was recorded with hip hop producer Esko and released in 2016, reaching Number 5 on the Dutch Album Top 100. "Abu Dhabi," a song from the 2017 album 2 gezichten, became his first Top 30 single, but it was the non-album track "Ride or Die" that brought Josylvio to the top of the Dutch charts. The song reached Number 1 in late 2017, and Josylvio capitalized on the momentum by releasing Hella Cash, his first Number 1 album, in 2018. Hella Cash included another chart-topping single, "Catch Up," as well as the Top 10 hits "Skittle Stacking" and "Rich." Before the year was up, Josylvio teamed up with Esko & Hansie for the collaborative "Hey meisje," his third song to reach Number 1. Gimma followed in 2019, with both the album itself and the title track reaching the top of the charts. Gimma was named "Best Hip Hop Album" at the 2020 Edison Awards, and Josylvio spent the year collaborating with artists like Ashafar (who appeared on his Top 20 hit "Ewa") and Moeman (who featured on "Mama Bid"). One year later, Josylvio released his third Number 1 album, Abu Omar.
