Kyd the Band

Kyd the Band (formerly known as Kyle & Devin) is a sibling pop duo based in Nashville, Tennessee. The sons of a preacher and a singer, Kyle and Devin Guisande grew up performing together in church. They moved from Northern California to Nashville in 2013 to pursue music as a career. The brothers first established a national following with a YouTube channel that specialized in covers and mashups, which led to invitations to work with other musicians. One such joint project was a video cover of Nick Jonas' "Jealous" with Los Angeles-based Kurt Schneider that tallied hundreds of the thousands of views within days of being uploaded in January 2015. After heading to the studio with original material, they released their debut single, "Compass," as Kyle & Devin, in late 2015. A bright, yearning pop tune that opened with ukulele and horns, it was written and produced by the brothers and mixed by Justin Hergett (Nick Jonas, Alicia Keys). They were featured on the REEZ single "Night Won't Fall" in mid-2016, around the time the Guisandes signed a publishing deal with Round Hill Music and Jimmy Robbins Music, and rebranded as Kyd the Band. ~ Marcy Donelson
