Luude

Born in Tasmania, Australia, Christian Benson, aka Perth-based electronic artist Luude –who is also one half of electronic duo Choomba – began his journey to the beating heart of the country's dance music scene in 2015, turning in a stream of collaborative singles over the next few years that would see him mark his territory as an energetic producer with bass on the brain. Starting with 2015's Twerl-featuring single "Coco Butter" and moving through solo efforts like 2017's "Don't Leave Me," 2019's "Lala Lamp," and his debut album for Sweat It Out and Warner Music Australia, 6AM, Luude's breakthrough came in 2021 via a drum 'n' bass-loaded remix of an Australian pop classic, "Down Under." Featuring the vocals of Colin Hay, the track shot to the top of New Zealand's chart, reached number five in the UK, and went to number 10 on home soil, securing Luude's fate as a national treasure in-the-making. He kept up the momentum on the follow-up single, "Big City Life" with Mattafix, which went to number eight in the UK and number two in New Zealand, while also charting in Australia.
