MacKenzie Porter

MacKenzie Porter is a Canadian country singer-songwriter, pianist and actress. She grew up on a cattle and bison ranch in Medicine Hat, Alberta, playing the piano from the age of four and performing with a family band. As an actor she has starred in shows such as 'Dinosapien', 'Hell On Wheels' and 'Travelers'. Her brother is the 2004 Canadian 'Idol' winner Kalan Porter. After moving to Vancouver, she released her first single, 'I Wish I'd Known', in 2012 followed by 'Never Gonna Let You'. She released her self-titled debut album 'MacKenzie Porter' in 2014, merging traditional and modern country styles. The single 'Rodeo' followed in 2015. She has toured in support of Kenney Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton. Now based in Nashville, Porter sang on Chris Lane's song 'Circles', taken from his 2016 album 'Girl Troubles'. In 2019 she released her first new music since 2015, the singles 'About You' and 'These Days' with an album set to follow.
