Marie-Pierre Arthur

Marie-Pierre Arthur is the stage name of Marie-Pierre Fournier, a French-Canadian pop singer-songwriter hailing from Grande-Vallée, Quebec. She collaborated with a wide array of artists such as Karkwa, Galaxie, Ariane Moffatt, Stefie Shock, Nanette Workman, and Édith Butler. In 2009, she took center stage with the release of her self-titled debut album, paving the way for her second album Aux alentours in 2012. The album garnered critical acclaim and was longlisted for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize. That same year, her talents were recognized with the Félix Leclerc Prize for Best New Singer-Songwriter at the FrancoFolies, and she earned nominations for several Prix Félix awards in 2009 and 2010. Marie-Pierre Arthur continued to make waves in the music scene with her third studio offering, 2015's Si l’aurore, which was named Album of the Year in the Adult Contemporary category at the ADISQ Gala. She further expanded her musical repertoire as a member of the group Louve, alongside Salomé Leclerc, Ariane Moffatt, Amylie, and Laurence Lafond-Beaulne. Her fourth album, Des feux pour voir, came out in 2020 and was followed by the EP Dans Tes Rêves in 2022.
