Matt Stell

Having released three albums with his band The Crashers on the 124 Records label, Matt Stell nearly quit music. However, in 2014 he decided that rather than entering Harvard's pre-med school he would move to Nashville, Tennessee and try his luck as a solo country artist. He signed a contract with the Nashville-based Wide Open Music label and released EP 'Last of the Best' but really broke through with the release of his single 'Prayed for You' in 2018. This lead to Rolling Stone Magazine calling it one of its '10 Best Country Songs to Hear Now'. This exposure lead to a new deal, this time with the RECORDS label, a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment. One year later Stell made his first appearance on the stage of the legendary Grand Ole Opry which was quickly followed up by the release of the 'Everywhere But On' EP which included a collaboration with Jimmie Allen.
