Neal Morse

Since the beginning of his musical journey, American singer and multi-instrumentalist Neal Morse devoted himself to two styles: neo-progressive rock and Christian rock. Born on August 2 1960, in Van Nuys, California, he formed his first major band, Spock's Beard, in 1992, while launching his solo career with a first homonymous recording in 1999. That same year, he joined the progressive supergroup Transatlantic. The following decade saw the release of the albums Testimony (2003), Sola Scriptura (2007), and So Many Roads: Live (2009). Simultaneously, his spiritual songbooks Mighty to Save (2010) and limited editions for members of his impressive fan club were released. The second part of a dyptic, Testimony Two was followed the same year by its live counterpart Testimony Two: Live in Los Angeles. After the solo LP Momentum (2014), the musician formed The Neal Morse Band. The group, which includes Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Randy George, Bill Hueber, and Eric Gillette, recorded The Great Experiment (2015), The Similitude of a Dream (2016), and The Great Adventure (2019). In 2020, Neal Morse resumed his solo endeavors with the album Sola Gratia, a concept album about Paul the Apostle. 2023 saw the release of The Dreamer: Joseph, Part One, with a second part titled The Restoration: Joseph, Part Two coming out in 2024.
