Noh Salleh

Noh Salleh – born Mohammad Noh bin Salleh on March 15, 1985 in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia – is a singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the leader of Malaysian rock band Hujan and his subsequent solo career. He was raised in Miri, but moved to Kuala Lumpur to work at a recording studio. He learned about music and composition from the musicians who would record there. He began his career as a recording artist with the hip-hop group MIX. They recorded one album – Mula Dari Dulu (2006) - before splitting up when Salleh left to form his own band, Hujan. Although he had formed Hujan in 2005, they did not release their debut EP – 1, 2, 3, Go! - until 2007. Since that debut, the band has released three additional EPs and six albums including 2020’s Pelangi & Kau. While still a member of the band, Salleh stepped out on his own as a solo artist, issuing his first solo album, Angin Kencang, in 2014. Keeping busy with Hujan, he didn’t return with a solo album until 2019’s Debu Bercahaya, followed a year later by Bisikan.
