Of Mice & Men

The American metalcore band Of Mice and Men formed in Costa Mesa, Calfornia, in 2009. The group was created by Attack, Attack!'s former vocalist, Austin Carlile, who joined forces for the new project with bass player Jaxin Hall. Within a year, both men had left the roster, with Carlile's exit due to health reasons and Hall's departure chalked up to the bassist's desire to concentrate on his clothing business. Of Mice and Men's self-titled debut album was released in 2010 and immediately made an impact on the charts, reaching number 3 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart. The record's most popular single, "Second & Sebring," went gold. In 2014, the band's third album, Restoring Force, introduced Of Mice and Men's new bass player and clean vocalist, Aaron Pauley. The album was a commercial success, hitting number 4 on the Billboard 200 while reaching Number 1 on multiple charts, including Independent Albums and Hard Rock Albums. 2016's Cold World reached number 20 on the Billboard 200, while albums like Defy (2018), Earthandsky (2019), and Echo (2021) helped maintain the band's popularity in the international metalcore scene. Tether followed in 2023, featuring a more melodic sound than some of the band's earlier releases.
