American pop rock band OneRepublic formed in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2002. They shot to fame in 2007 with the release of their chart-topping single “Apologize”. The grown-up boy band were soon signed with Timbaland (whom frontman Ryan Tedder had previously worked with) on ohis label Mosley Music Group where the producer/rapper remixed the track and included it on his own album. It quickly went platinum and became the most popular digital download in US history, helping the group to further success with the release of their debut album Dreaming Out Loud in 2007. Success knowing no bounds, their first effort was certified Gold and “Apologize” found success in charts around the world. In 2008 the boys were back with follow-up Waking Up - their second studio album which joined the first in the Billboard 200, reaching Number 21. After a three-year break, the band released their third album Native in 2013 and embarked upon a year-long world tour. The album's hit single “Counting Stars” reached the top of the UK singles chart, peaked at Number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and received over two billion views online. The band released their fourth studio album Oh My My in 2016 and followed it up with a Number of single releases, including the top 40 hit “I Lived”. After a five-year layoff, OneRepublic returned in 2011 with Human, a Number 11 album in the U.S. that went top 10 in multiple European countries.
