Peter Cincotti

Part swinging jazz troubadour and part crooning, pop balladeer, Peter Cincotti's high energy, charismatic performances and collection of romantic, pop singalongs have earned the piano-playing singer-songwriter comparisons to Harry Connick Jr. and Billy Joel. Given a toy piano by his grandmother at the age of three, Cincotti quickly became obsessesed with mastering the instrument. Inspired by musicals, jazz clubs and the diverse array of sounds pouring out of New York's music scene, he studied classical technique at the Manhattan School of Music and started playing in bars at 12-years-old, where he was spotted by producer Phil Ramone. At 18 he became the youngest solo artist to ever top the Billboard Jazz Charts with his self-titled debut album and he naturally seemed to adopt the suave, cool showmanship of the old school entertainers. His rhythmic playing style and jazz flair was further demonstrated on 2004's 'On the Moon' and he made his acting debut with a small part in the Bobby Darin biopic 'Beyond the Sea', before making a major change of direction on third album 'East of Angel Town' in 2007. Working with Grammy-winning producer David Foster, he developed his songs into big, classy pop set pieces, with squealing rock guitars and anthemic chorus lines, with the single 'Goodbye Philadelphia' making a big hit in Italy. He also collaborated with Andrea Bocelli, Annie Lennox and DJ David Guetta and made an appearance in Netflix series 'House of Cards' singing a duet with Kevin Spacey. With his sister Pia Cincotti he created the musical stage show 'How Deep Is the Ocean', toured with Seal and in 2017 released his fifth studio album, 'Long Way from Home'.
