Piruka

André Filipe de Oliveira (February 30, 1970), aka Piruka, is a rapper from Portugal who has a large following on his video-streaming channel. Since releasing his first album Quatro Cantos in 2014, he has issued a whole host of singles, many of which have gone gold and even double platinum in his home country. His second album, 2015’s Pára e Pensa, reached Number 46 on the domestic charts and 2017's AClara, named after his daughter, proved to be a hit in his native Portugal, obtaining sextuple platinum certification by the AFP. Two of the album’s singles, “Se Eu Não Acordar Amanhã” and “Não Se Passa Nada” cracked the Portuguese Top 50 and were certified platinum and gold, respectively. In the following years, Piruka stayed active through a plethora of non-album singles, including the Top 10 hits “Salto Alto,” “Não Faz Isso,” and “Só Vim Dizer Yau” in 2017, and “Louco” (2019) with Bluay, his first track to reach the top of the Portuguese Singles Chart. In 2021, Piruka returned with the single “Fé,” which entered the Top 50 at Number 34.
