Pressha

David Jones – AKA Pressha - is an R&B singer, songwriter, and producer. As Pressha, Jones released his debut single, “All The Way Live”, in 1994 on the independent Pandisc Records label. His second single, “Put Ya Thang Down”, was released on Atlantic Records in 1995. By 1996, he had joined Southsyde B.O.I.Z., signed to LaFace Records and released the single “Get Ready, Here It Comes (It’s The Choo Choo)”. After leaving Southsyde B.O.I.Z., Pressha remained with LaFace and released the album Don’t Get It Twisted in 1998. The single, “Splackavellie”, reached Number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart and Number 14 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. The song was also featured on the soundtrack to the motion picture The Players Club. After one more 1998 single, “Do Boy”, Pressha dropped out of the public eye. David Jones would later resurface as Mr. David and release the album Jody is Back in 2004.
