Rasmus Seebach

The Danish singer-songwriter Rasmus Seebach was born in Copenhagen on March 28, 1980, and comes from a musical family—his father was the popular Danish pop singer Tommy Seebach and his sibling Nicolai is a well-known producer and songwriter who also co-writes most of his brother's hits. Rasmus Seebach rose to fame after his 2009 self-titled debut album became Denmark's second best-selling album that year, only beaten into top place by Michael Jackson's The Collection. After reaching Number 1 in the charts for a total of 25 weeks, Seebach's album remained in the albums chart for an astonishing 227 weeks, a feat only bettered by another Seebach album, his 2013 release Ingen Kan Love Dig i Morgen, which remained in the charts for 228 weeks. Since starting his career in 2009, Seebach has recorded several platinum-selling albums, each of which has topped the Danish charts, establishing him as one of Denmark's most successful and recognisable pop stars of modern times. His fifth album Før Vi Mødte Dig was released in 2017 and spawned three Top 5 singles including “2017,” which achieved pole position in his native Denmark. Another chart-topper followed with Tak For Turen: De Første 10 Är, a compilation released by Capitol in 2019. Subsequently, Rasmus Seebach returned in 2021 with “Så Længe Vi Danser,” an electro pop banger that peaked at Number 10 on the Danish charts.
