Rkomi

Italian rapper Mirko Manuele Martorana (April 19, 1994), who goes by the name Rkomi, was inspired by his childhood friend Tedua to pursue a career in music. His first musical project Calvairate was a mixtape released in 2014. Two years passed until this was followed by the release of the EP Dasein Sollen in 2016. He released singles “Solo,” “Apnea,” and “Mai Più” before his first solo album in 2017 entitled Io in Terra. The album went straight to Number 1 on the Italian Album Charts and singles “Apnea,” “Mai Più,” and “Milano Bachata” all hit platinum sales. Io in Terra included collaborations with artists such as Marracash, Noyz Narcos, and Alberto Paoni. In 2018, Rkomi announced the release of an EP called Ossigeno with an accompanying autobiography. Two of the singles featured achieved gold sales, "Solletico" and "Acqua Calda e Limone." Another album Dove Gli Occhi Non Arrivano arrived in 2019, entirely produced by Charlie Charles, and featuring collaborations with Jovanotti, Elisa, Carl Brave, Dardust and Ghali. The album went straight to Number 1 on the Italian Album Charts. The single “Mon Chéri,” which features fellow Italian rapper Sfera Ebbasta went in at Number 6 on the Italian Singles Charts. In 2021, Rkomi returned with the album Taxi Driver, which debuted at Number 1 on FIMI’s Albums Chart and spawned the chart-topping hit single “Nuovo Range,” a vibrant mix of trap and rock that featured Sfera Ebbasta and Junior K.
