Saint Asonia

Saint Asonia is a Canadian-American rock band made up of members of Finger Eleven, Staind, Dark New Day, Art of Dying, and Three Days Grace. The group formed in 2014 when Staind lead guitarist Mike Mushok called Three Days Grace singer Adam Gontier had the idea of writing songs together. They were soon joined by drummer Rich Beddoe, formerly of Fingers Eleven, and bassist Corey Lowery, formerly of Dark New Day. The band signed with RCA Records and released a self-titled LP in 2015. In 2017, Rich Beddoe left to be replaced by Staind drummer Sal Giancarelli. In 2018, Corey Lowery also quit the band, to be replaced by Art of Dying's Cale Gontier, the cousin of Adam Gontier, on bass. In 2019, Saint Asonia switched labels to Finland's Spinefarm Records and released their second LP, Flawed Design, as well as a single, "The Hunted," featuring Godsmacked's Sully Erna. 2020 weather another line-up change with Art of Dying drummer Cody Watkins stepping into Sal Giancarelli's shoes. The band unleashed a cover of the Weeknd's smash-hit single "Blinding Lights" in 2021 and the Introvert/Extrovert compilation for Spinefarm Records followed in 2022, which was propelled by the new version of the "Wolf" single featuring John Cooper of Skillet.
