Sam Sparro

Very much following in his father's footsteps, Sydney born singer Sam Sparro has music in his blood, as the son of popular gospel singer and composer Chris Falson. After a move to LA with his parents whilst still a child, Sparro soon began performing alongside his father at the local church before starring in a number of advertising campaigns. Pursuing a career in music, he moved back to Sydney in his late teens, then on to the UK where he immersed himself in the electro-pop scene, before heading back to Los Angeles to start his career in earnest. A chance meeting saw the artist signed to an indie record label and the tracks he'd been writing since his youth were finally recognised. His debut single Cottonmouth was released soon after, in late 2007. However, it wasn't until his second single Black And Gold hit the airwaves that Sparro smashed his way into the public consciousness. It flew into the charts at Number 2 in 2008, followed hot on the heels by his self-titled album, Sam Sparro later that year.
