Sarah Lombardi

Sarah Lombardi was born Sarah Engels and first sprang to fame when she was eliminated from the top ten of the 2009 series of 'Deutschland Sucht den Superstar' before being brought back on to the show and later being runner-up to Pietro Lombardi, her future husband. Following the German talent show, Engels released the single 'Call My Name' in 2011, which reached number two in the German, Austrian and Swiss Single Charts. Her debut album 'Heartbeat' reached number two in the German Album Charts and a further two singles were released in the same year - 'I Miss You' and 'Only for You'. A further collaborative single with her husband, 'It's Christmas Time', was released in the same year from his album 'Pietro Style'. After marrying in 2013, they released an album together called 'The Dream Team' from which a single of the same name was released. Another collaborative album with Pietro, 'Teil von Mir', was released in 2016 with single releases of 'Nimmerland', 'Nur Mit Dir' and 'Teil Von Mir'. Sarah and Pietro announced their separation in 2016 and she went on to release fourth album 'Zurück zu Mir' in 2018 which reached the top 20 in the German and Austrian Album Charts. She released the single 'Genau Hier' in 2018. In 2019, she won the fourth season of the German 'Dancing On Ice' and released a cover version of the song 'Weekend' by Dutch band Earth and Fire in collaboration with DJ Herzbeat. The single was instantly popular in the iTunes Germany Charts.
