Sistar

Sistar were a South Korean girl band who were formed in 2010 by Starship Entertainment and were comprised of vocalists Bora, Hyolyn, Soyou and Dasom. Their debut single 'Push Push' in 2010 peaked at number nine on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and was featured on their debut album 'So Cool' (2011) which peaked at number ten on the Gaon Album Chart. The music video for their second single, 'Shady Girl', featured Kim Heechul from the hugely popular K-pop boy band Super Junior. Also in 2011, the band unveiled their sub-group Sistar 19 which included Sistar members Hyolyn and Bora who had their first single with 'Ma Boy'. In 2012, they released two EPs: 'Alone', which hit number three in the charts, and 'Loving U', which peaked at number eleven. In 2013, their second studio album, 'Give It to Me', hit number five in the Gaon charts and broke into the Billboard World Chart at number nine. EPs 'Touch N Move', 'Sweet & Sour' and 'Shake It' followed, culminating in their last EP 'Insane Love' in 2016. They had nine number one singles in the Gaon charts, including 'So Cool', 'Alone', 'Loving U', 'Touch My Body' and their 2017 release and final recording, 'Lonely'. Following this, the band decided to part ways.
